Everyone should spend more time observing trees. When I look up at a tree, I see a tall bark plastered trunk ambitiously reaching upward and outward. I see a pipeline that branches out but never neglects its roots or the dozens of species that feed on it and seek protection in its foliage.

Particularly when it’s windy and, when you look up, their trunks are bending, their branches are swirling and their leaves are rustling, trees are magnificent.

Photography gives me a good excuse to stop and look – look up and look closely at the finer details.
