DEPRESSION, A DANCE

When you ask yourself the question ‘will I ever get better? Will I ever feel ok?‘ you know you’re moving closer toward the depths of depression. Or you’re already there.

It’s a really uncomfortable place to be and a lot of people go through it without ever talking about it. More and more though, I’m seeing share their experiences using art, like the My Anxious Heart photo essay I posted about earlier this year and the video below. If nothing else, the writer, Richard Garrick, and the dancer, Melissa Faller, who’ve managed to communicate some of the concepts of depression with interpretative dance, are very talented people.
